The nearest railway station from Thekkady is the Kottayam station at a distance of 114kms from Thekkady and the rest of the distance is to be travelled by road.  

By Bus:

Many government run buses ply from almost all major towns like Cochin and Trivandrum to Thekkady.

Self Rides:

You can also drive through the countryside from Cochin to Thekkady which can be quite an experience.
