Private Alleppey Houseboat Day Cruise from Kochi with Canoe Tour

Programme

The below Houseboat backwater programme has been designed for those who like to visit the best canals in and around Alleppey.

09:00 am – Car and driver will be waiting at your pre booked hotel /Railway station /Airport.

11:00 am – Arrive at the houseboat boarding point where our representative will meet and welcome you, assist with boarding and introduce you to your private crew.

11:15 am – 02:00 am – Houseboat day cruise with lunch break.

• Punnamada kayal – river famous for the Nehru trophy boat race.
• SNDP canal – one of the small canals on this trip.
• Pamba river – bigger river with villages on both sides.
• Irumbanam Thod – best narrow canal – here you can see paddy fields and villages.
• Meenappalli Kayal – small lake in the middle of Kainakari village. Best place for a photo stop. Here we stop for lunch.

02:30 pm – 03:30 pm – Kuttamangalam narrow canal cruise in open canoe boat.

Here you will transfer from houseboat to canoe open boat to experience narrow canals, local villages, birds etc. This tour is for an hour and after this tour, you will be brought back to the houseboat. Return from the canoe ride and rejoin your private houseboat to continue the cruise.

03:30 pm – 04:30 pm – This is the last part of your tour. Continue cruising through the scenic waterways of Kainakary Village and the magnificent Vembanad Lake, India’s longest lake and Kerala’s largest freshwater lake.

04:30 pm – Check out from the Houseboat, our driver will pick you up and proceed to Kochi Port.

06:30 pm – Drop at the same place from where we arranged the pickup. Tour ends

What is the Pickup Time?

Generally, it’s 09:00 am, so that this tour can start any time between 11:00 am and 11:15 am. In case of Kochi airport or airport hotels, Pick up will be at 08:15 am.

Can I have an Early or Delayed Pick Up?

Yes, we can even start this earliest at 07:30 am so that the cruise starts at 09:30 am. In this case the tour will end at 02:30 pm – 03:00 pm. Delayed pick up is by 10:00 pm so that the cruise can start at 12:00 pm and ends at 05:00 pm.
