Poovar which is only 40 Kms towards south of India is another best beach where one can experience golden sand beach and without much rush of the local people. Light house and Howa are the two beaches in Kovalam, but the beach is also occupied by the locals and fisherman. These beaches have many activities for tourists like under water sports, sailing and rafting. Poovar is the best sandy beach as well as untouched by the local crowed. Day 1 : Trivandrum – Kovalam. 16 Kms / 20 Mins
Arrival at Trivandrum airport / Rly station, meet, receive and transfer to a beach resort. Full day leisure at beach resort.
Evening visit light house beach and howa beach. Overnight in resort.
Day 2 : Kovalam
Optional Activities:
- Sripadmanabha swamy temple visit. Padmanabha Swamy temple – Open at 4:00 am and darshan available till 11:00 am, Evening it open at 4:00 pm and darshan available till 8:00 pm. Pants, Jeans, Bermuda etc are not allowed inside. Gents should wear Dhoti and ladies saree / churidar. In case of churidar, Dhoti needs to wear over the churidar. Dhoti available in front the temple shop for Rs 40 per piece onwards. Small wallet, camera, mob phone, bags etc are not allowed inside the temple. It may take approximately an hour for the visit. But for a quick darshan Rs 150 tickets are available. Entry is permitted for all Hindus who adopt to the dress code. Darshan is not available from 08:30 hrs to 09:30 hrs in all the days.

Day 3 : Kovalam – Poovar (45 Kms / 45 Mins)
After b/f check out and proceed to Poovar. Check in resort. Leisure at resort.
Evening enjoy Poovar beach.

After b/f check out and proceed to Trivandrum airport / rly station.

How to Reach
Arrival and Departure:
Tour starts from Trivandrum. Arrival and departure can be arranged from Trivandrum Airport or Trivandrum Railway Station. Both are well connected with major cities in India. Exact pick-up details will be informed one day prior to your travel.
Nearest Arrival and Departure by Train/Bus:
Best suitable Railway Station and Bus Stand is Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram). From here Kovalam Beach is just 16 Kms (20–30 mins) and Poovar is 45 Kms (about 1 hr).
Arrival and Departure Time:
It is advisable to arrive at Trivandrum before 10:00 am to make the most of your first day at Kovalam. On the last day, suitable departure time is after 12:00 noon from Trivandrum Airport/Railway Station.
Optional Extension:
Guests who wish to include Kanyakumari can plan departure from Trivandrum after returning from Kanyakumari (approx. 85 Kms / 2.5 Hrs by road).
