This Kerala honeymoon package for 3 nights 4 days is designed for those who does not want to travel much and relax most of the time, meantime experience best locations in Kerala. Main attraction is Kumarakom stay in a lake side resort, from there board a houseboat to Alleppey, next day proceed to Cherai Beach.

Tour Itinerary:
Day 1 -Kochi Airport/Ernakulam Railway Station:
Your arrival is at Kochi airport or Ernakulam Railway station. Our executive will meet, greet and receive at arrival destination. Departure for Kumarakom. It may take up to 2.5 hrs to reach Kumarakom. Arrival, transfer to hotel and leisure at resort.
- Sightseeing options and activities available.
- Bird sanctuary. Season for migratory birds is from Feb onwards for 4 months. But its similar type of a forest and walking inside the sanctuary is a good experience. There is a watch tower insider the forest which gives a good view. The best time to visit this is from 6:00 am to 8:00 am.
- Sunset Cruise – Check your hotel as most of the hotels have a free sunset cruise.
- Kayaking – If you are an adventure enthusiast, Kayaking is an option.
- Ayurvedic massage and treatment – There are many ayurvedic treatment centers in Kumarakom and you can also look at the same facility at the resort itself.
Overnight stay in Hotel.
Day 2 – Houseboat:
Today you are going to experience overnight stay in a Houseboat. Check out from hotel at 11:30 am and transfer to houseboat boarding jetty. Our representative will help to board the houseboat.
Check in Houseboat at 12:00 pm or when you reach boarding point. Once check in, Houseboat start cruise through the best possible canals in Alleppey from 12:00 pm to 05:30 pm with an hour lunch break. Below are the possible cruise route during your trip.
- Vembanad lake – Biggest freshwater lake in Kerala. This ride is a very scenic.
- Chithirakayal – A small lake in the Alleppey backwaters.
- R Block and C Block – Where paddy is cultivated below sea level.
- Punnamada kayal – river famous where annual Nehru trophy boat race is conducted.
- SNDP canal – One of the small canal in this trip.
- Pamba river – Almost 150 feet width river.
- Irumbanam Thod – Another small canal.
- 01:30 pm Lunch at Meenappalli Kayal – small lake in the middle of Alleppey backwaters.
Post lunch trip start at 02:30 pm and continue till 05:30 pm. Houseboat makes a trip through some of the beautiful villages in Alleppey called Kainakari Village.
Between 05:30 pm – 06:00 pm, houseboat finally halt at docking point for overnight stay. Once the houseboat halted, guest can walk around till the sun set.
Evening Options and Activities:
Fishing in the lake and backwaters. (most of the houseboats is always having a fishing roads and you will surely get small fishes).
Houseboat is having a tv and music system to enjoy some pictures. You can also bring your own to make your stay more comfortable.

Day 3 – Houseboat – Fort Kochi – Cherai Beach:
Houseboat check out time is at 9:00 am after a trip of an hour from 8:00 am to 9:00 am. During this time, the staff will provide breakfast. Check out from Houseboat at 09:00 am. Today you are proceeding to Cherai Beach. It takes approx. 2 hrs drive, but you will be visiting Fort Kochi, little bit shopping at Ernakulam and finally reach Cherai beach by 04:00 pm. Fort Kochi is famous for colonial and heritage buildings. One an experience the date back European culture. Below are the main attractions of Fort Kochi.
- Chinese Fishing Nets
- Jewish synagogue – this will be closed on Fridays.
- Dutch Palace – this is closed on Friday and Saturdays.
- St Francis Church
All these sightseeing can be covered maximum by an hour. You can proceed to Kochi city, we generally called Ernakulam, and there are many veg and non veg restaurant available. This is a place where you can buy Kerala traditional saree for ladies and this is the best gift you can give to your ladies back home.
After the sightseeing it takes almost 45 mins to reach Cherai beach. Check in and leisure at beach. Cherai beach is idle for swimming. There is no beach activities like scuba diving, jet sky, banana boat ride available in Cherai beach. Overnight stay at hotel.
Note: Cherai beach is a fisherman village and there is no restaurants or shopping place available near by the resort. Therefore you need to have dinner at the resorts only.
Day 4 – Cherai Beach – Kochi Airport or Aluva Railway Station:
Your short honeymoon trip ends today. Check out from hotel is at 12:00 pm. There is no sightseeing or shopping is planned. Check out from hotel at 12:00 pm and transfer to Airport or Ernakulam / Aluva railway station. Tour ends
How to Reach
- Arrival and Departure by Flight – Kochi (Cochin) International Airport is the arrival and departure destination for those who are coming by Flight.
- Arrival and Departure by Train/Bus – The best suitable railway station/bus stand is Kottayam. You can also come to Alleppey railway station or Ernakulam railway station.
- Arrival and Departure Time – Check in time of hotels is at 12:00 pm, therefore, the best arrival time is after 10:00 am. Departure can be any time after 2:00 pm either by flight or train. The checkout time of hotel on the last day is at 12:00 pm, therefore, departure should be any time around 12:00 pm. In case of late departure, guest needs to stay back at hotel lobby or in any of the shopping complex to spend time.
