Tour Cost Includes

Houseboat

Itinerary
Arrival at Kochi airport. Our representative will meet, receive and transfer to Munnar. On the way visit Valera or Cheeyappara water falls. Check in resort. Half day sightseeing of Munnar. Rajamalai and Eravikulam national park. (this is possible only for those coming by morning). Rajamali national park – Entry Fee @ Rs 150 per person. Open all days from 09:00 Hrs to 16:00 Hrs. Closed from 01 Mar to 30 Apr every year. Tea Museum – Entry fee Rs 150pp. Open all days from 10:00 Hrs to 16:00 Hrs except Monday Mattupetty dam Boating – Rs 650 upto 5 adults.
After breakfast Munnar sightseeing. Visiting Mattupetti Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake, Rose garden, Top Station, Pothenmedu sunset view-, Tea museum etc. Other Attractions : Jeep Safari to Kudagumali View Point (cost approx Rs 2500 per jeep) Elephant safari / Kerala martial Art / Kathakali etc Stay in TREE House.(need adv booking)
After break fast transfer to Thekkady. On the way visit Lockhart Gap View and tea Plantation. Check in at Hotel. Afternoon one can explore Thkkedy. Below are the activities planned for the remaining day. Kathakali and Kalaripayattu (these are traditional art forms of Kerala. Entry per person @ 250 per show. Starts at 1800hrs till 2000hrs). Spice garden visit. this gives details about ayurvedic herbs. Entry fee Rs 100 per person. Elephant safari. Organised by private parties and elephant safari does not take inside the forest. This just to experience elephant and a ride. It cost Rs 600 per person for half an hour ride. Spice market shopping – Thekkedy is the best place to buy spices less than Munnar market rate.
0730hrs to 0930hrs – Boat safari in Periyar lake to see wild animals. Commonly only elephnats, deer, sambor, etc avaialble. The boat ride is for 2hrs and it take through the lake to spot wild life. Tickets needs to be booked in advance. Other Attractions : There are many activities organized by Kerala Forest Department, below are the details. Need adv booking. Bamboo rafting and Trekking in forest with lunch. Armed Escort available. @ Rs 2500 per person. Full day programme. Morning and evening trekking – guide and armed guard avaialable. Jeep Safari to GAVI Wild Life – 6 AM to 6 PM @ Rs 2500 per jeep and its a full day programme.
Morning check out from Thekkedy and proceed to Houseboat. Check in Houseboat at 12:00 Hrs. Cruise and sightseeing. Cruise through vembanadu lake. Visit R Block and C Block where paddy cultivated below sea level. Cruise through canals of Alleppey. The boat can stop some of the places and you can walk in the village to see and experience the village life – the best way to experience Alleppey backwaters in Houseboat. Lunch, evening snacks, dinner and breakfast will be provided. Other Attractions : Fishing in the lake and backwaters.
After breakfast departure for Kochi. Visit Fort Kochi. Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace, Chinese Fish Nets etc Visit Marine Drive. Shopping at Kochi and drop at Kochi Airport/Rly station. Tour ends.
